Just saw it in 3D IMAX. It was awesome. As somebody who still has their Warcraft: Orcs and Humans CD, it really delivered for me. 7/10 as a movie, 10/10 as a video game adaptation.

Saw it opening night here in Canada w/ my S/O also in IMAX 3D. We both play WoW together (since MoP) and I have been playing on/off since Vanilla plus loved the game since Warcraft 2. Overall; I really enjoyed the movie and I am glad it did well in China so a sequel will be made. I'll likely pick up the Blueray to see the extended edition which I think will help with the pacing of the movie in general. Last but not least, if they were going to make it completely hard for non-fans to follow, they should have just stuck with the offical lore rather than having another parallel universe to deal with.

Seriously, would anyone have been upset if they made a movie using the lore? Like wouldn't we be happy to see it all in its cinematic glory?

I was a lore junkie growing up and still have the Warcraft I game guide. I was expecting it to be a Michael Bay movie, only Warcraft, so I was pleasantly surprised.

I think I expected good acting, but it felt too much like the D&D movie from back in the 90's

Really wanted to like it, but struggled because of the one floor i saw.

Even without a wayans spoof movie the acting felt wooden and over-contrived.

At times it felt more like a school production with awesome cgi as one of the Dad's helped out
