  1. 2 questions

    1. Why does my second energy cell never recharge? except with a consumable ?

    2. The game seems very hacking heavy? thus the first couple hours of play through in Detroit ... I am considering using most of my praxis for hacking ? BTW hacking can be very annoying and frustrating

  2. lol I thought hacking was kinda fun. Ya there is a LOT to hack in the game and you pretty much have to specialize in it to get stuff easy. You most definitely should max out hacking with your first praxis points. Maybe not all the fortify and stealth stuff right away, but at least to lvl 5 hax and maybe turrets. Robots and stealth can come once you complete Detroit area.

The energy cell doestn recharge past the first one. Its how the game was made. IMO its kinda dumb giving yourself a bunch of extra cell space and then your body doesnt even recharge them? whatever. Its why I really only give myself 1 extra battery and then just max out recharge instead. I hope a patch comes that makes all cells recharge.

Finished it last night, took me over 30 hours. Awesome game, definitely a GOTY contender. I have enjoyed every moments of it, there is not a single time where I went "Oh boy this place is annoying/boring". I have gotten some nights of 4 hours of sleep because I just couldn't stop. ;)

  4. OK I got another question ... why would you ever "kill" vs render "unconscious" ?

You 20 more xp for knocking someone out vs making them a proverbial "meat on a stick"

    Just a thought

  5. render unconscious for the CHEIVES!

  6. If you just knock out, but another enemy comes by and finds that person a while later then the unconscious enemy will be revived and an alarm sounded.

Of course that usually doesn't happen because if someone will possibly be revived, you are usually there already and end up either shooting the guy coming by or knocking him out too...

  7. In Derelict Row, I tranq shot around 8 guys in a row, because each time they would try to revive I would knock the next person out.

  8. And yet you probably still got the Ghost bonus for that mission huh? lol this game can be dumb in some ways. I really think if someone is doing a turkey shoot on a bunch of guys one of them would be smart enough to go "huh, maybe I shouldn't walk right over there but instead radio this in"

  9. Ugh ... Barret was kicking my ass for an hour + last night ... had to go bed .... try and kick his ass tonight I guess ...

Wishing I bought some dermal plating with my praxis ......

  10. Barret is the 1st one right? All you need to do is run behind a pillar, let him start to follow you and then couch walk around in circles making him go round and round as you shoot over the flower box by the pillar at him. Its very doable but may take a little practice to get your timing right at first

  11. To beat Barret follow these steps:
(btw I beat him and I done use "weapons")

When the fight starts, turn right, pick up the Green Gas canister
Quickly throw it at his feet.
    Rise and repeat.

Side note. He bugged out for me when I hid in the "cubby hole," which is on the side of the room.

You can also keep the rocket launcher from earlier in the level and pickup two rockets in the boss room... he goes down quickly after two rockets to the face. ;)

  13. Yeah, got him, never thought about pickung up the can/barrels ... those worked very effectively as well as a frag grenade ...

Plus I drank alot of wine before the fight, kept myself lubed up for the game lol

  14. hmm, that seems much easier than my way. lol

Wait until you fight Jaron Namir :) he was a real challenge to defeat, I must have died at least 12 times trying to kill him.

  16. I ended up using the laser and grenades to kill him. Because you can shoot through walls with the laser you can estimate where he is and do damage that way. The laser is kinda useless in most part since the other weapons are just as powerful, but you can kill Namir in about 10 seconds if you hold the laser shot on his face. The biggest difficulty of doing it this way is if you have the new implant you cant see through walls to where Namir is, you just have to estimate his location based on your knowledge of AI logic and movement, and last known location and direction of movement of Namir.

This is the easiest way to kill him (warning: lots of spoilers)

but I didnt bring the right weapon when I fought him so I had to go back down the elevator and pick up a laser rifle and the portable turrent. I dropped the portable turrent just outside of the elevator, ran to a corner, and placed landmines on both sides of me then just waited for him to jump over the wall to shoot him with the laser rifle while the turrent shot him.
