wow yep, youre right. no prone from what I can see. this is a quote from Digital Illusions' David Goldfarb from his twitter page: "there will be no prone.. we tried it many times and decided it didn't feel right for the dynamic, destructible world we made" I believe that was in regards to the console version, but it probably applies to pc as well. I will keep digging - edit After reading a little bit more, on the same page. It might be there for pc after all.. unless I'm reading it wrong. Here is the link to the fragland.net article, so you guys can read for yourself. - edit and on another page: "DICE decided that prone wasn't good enough to put in the console version of the game. I'm going to the gym, bust my balls and get home wrecked and pre-order it as well. Also, why would you take away prone??? I *always* use prone! I wake up whilst prone I spawn whilst prone I scuddle across the map whilst prone Gun everything down whilst prone! ...It's hard to imagine a shooter without prone.
Na shouldnt be a problem due to the close quaters teammate spawn. They would be stupid to over use it. (And dead very fast)
Your not hearing me. If the game has prone I'm not playing. I don't care how fast you might think someone will die. Unless it's implemented correctly I'm not interested and the only person who is capable of doing it right is me.
Our CoD4 division was #1 on 4v4 sab in TWL league for a while. It was highly successful... and this game is going to replace CoD4 for us, so I'm sure it will be more than "decent" a division. Unless you like to play with braindead, prepubescent, tards who will kill you for the chopper or tank, go ahead and play console. @Nish: I'm pretty sure you won't be able to dolphin dive in this version. The devs won't be stupid enough to include it... or will they?
=( prone is leet tho. its the only way to measure how leet one is.. by how easy it is to camp while doing it.
Console versions do have FF disable. I do plan on getting this for PC as long as I can afford a new PC in time.
Is that regarding the bonus items or the beta? I assume the Beta. Because if so that sucks. (Told you Amazon sucked )
I may hop into this. I've heard a bit about BC2, and well, lately I've been playing the first. It's been awhile since I could do anything with XOO, and since this game looks pretty good, I may just go Pre-order it and hop back in.
wtf? I was just about to come here and ask about how/when we get the beta info etc. as I hadn't heard anything back since ordering from Gamestop so I wonder if it's the same way there? The Beta access was actually mentioned on there site though so I'm going to have a field day if that's true. Anyone have details on the beta access?
My only problem is I'll probably have to overhaul my PC a bit, I'm still running an 8800gt, got a good processor, and everything but I'd probably have to upgrade a few pieces, and since I recently just dropped money on a 360 to play with friends and some select titles, I don't have a few hundreds to drop on a new power supply/gfx card and anything else I might need (decent power supply and gfx = ~$250/350). I am however wanting to get involved with XoO more in the other divisions, so I might just motivate myself to upgrade a few parts in order to do so.
