This leads me to believe that it is not malware but a trojan or virus. I would run a trojan remover and see if that works.

I actually have that headset and it's been fantastic. Nice headstrap, really comfortable around the ears and the mic works pretty good overall.
Did you have the Windows XP machine and the Vista 64 machine both set to automatically detect IP or did you assign an IP to the XP machine?
