The Peregrine is supposed to make gaming a lot different. It's a glove with hotkeys in it. At first I thought it'd be terrible with pressing fingers together, but the touchpoints have to touch the thing on your thumb or palm. So, your fingers don't set them off.

Now I'm just not sure how you'd manage movement with it, since you wouldn't be able to strafe very effectively with it.

    Anybody tried it or interested?

    That + headplay =

Yey! It's almost time for virtual reality games.

Fact is though I see no use for that glove outside of RTS. I would be more interested in a hybrid between this and playstation move (yes I said playstation move rather than the wiimote because it can calculate depth as the wiimote cannot).

Put on headplay put on 2 gloves and a mocap your hand movements and convert them to controls. So, for instance in a fps hold your hands like your holding a gun and the sensor would pick up the movement of your hands thus when you would move your finger like your pulling the trigger the game would shoot. Now there would be a few kinks to work out with this system like how would you control movement and such but I'm sure you could find a way to map those things to one of the gloves hotkeys.

The people that review that really like DOTA all the gaming videos of them using the product is DOTA gameplay on their website. But that looks REALLY cool p.p the movements you make to use that remind me of The Glove from SSB.

Fact is its not practical for movement. Your thumb can only press 1 button at a time on that glove and most games that implement wasd movement require you to press more than one of them at a time.

Interesting in theory, but probably a bad idea in practice. Though it would be cool to use Force powers with it.........mmmm......the darkside........

  10. Hmm I wonder if you can write macros for it and if you can get one for your left hand.

Right now it doesn't support macros and is left-handed exclusive, but I would expect those to change if it sells well.

  12. Yea, I'd like to use it for drive testing not for gaming. Typing while driving is such a PITA.

  13. it might be usefull for watching porn...

  14. Depending on the hand you use... :D
