I'm happy that I played enough of the beta to see it was going to be a flop and didn't spend a dime for it. To bad I can't say the same for AoC I blame Nastrand for that one (I know he doesn't check any of the forums other than the WAR ones so he can't defend himself)
meh i enjoyed the hellgate beta (where you preorder the game and you get the demo or whatever) but then when the game came out it wouldnt read my profile or my game cd so i was like forget this im going to go play wow nice waste of 50 bucks
rofl yeah, i still remember my bone spear when it had 5000% chance to stun (what lol) and when the two of us grouped up and I could see either your robot minions... or you, but never both!
I didn't need to play the beta to see the floppiness. The advertising was crap, and the game looked like crap.
The game was fun. It had tons of potential but FSS fucked it up. They released it too soon with tons of bugs. They kept everyone in the dark. They tried to do too many things and failed at all of them. There is a slight chance that Hanbit Soft will get the IP from the bank and it will be a Korean game. We'll see I guess. Also your Demon Spine didn't have 5000% chance to stun, it was +5000% to stun attack strength. One cool thing they did was open the sub content up to all users. I wish they would have done that back in July.
Yeah, I even waited a few weeks before trying AoC. Allen (Grantag) was telling me how great it was and how they fix things quickly. bleh! It was visually appealing. penalizing my HoX for being a female was stupid lol.. But yeah Hellgates London looked good and myself,Retsah, and Arcuro were in beta and hoping it would be a great game because it was pretty fun. It just did not have enough there for me to pay for it.
Saw this coming. I'm glad TheCox/Akuma let me use their beta account so I could try out the game and see how terrible it is. I could've fallen for the hype.
Lol, after they fixed most of its major bugs it was a pretty good game. They should have just delayed the release for another month to actually finish it.
Ah well, I enjoy playing it every now and then. Too bad I have to start all over because I used to play online chars only. It's nice to blow off some steam, just hacking or shooting stuff. Allthough I now have Left 4 Dead for that
