Ohai Smurfies!

My name is Joan. I’m a 25 years old Spanish boy who lives in a little beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea called Mallorca. I’m a psychologist (just finished my studies six months ago) and I work on mornings from Monday to Friday.

My MMO adventure started with FFXI when I was 18 (though I've been always a gamer, since I was little child). I played it for 4 years in Ragnarok server. FFXI is a full pve game where you have to spend hours and hours to improve your character. So I started being a full pve gamer. I started being a white mage healing all my allies though I also swapped into ninja tank while was necessary (a role that I liked a lot). Those were the best gaming days of my life and never found a game that could give me so much fun than that one.

Later on, , I started playing WoW in Wrath of the Lich King Expansion. We were there a few months doing some raids but the game took a path that we didn’t like at all. So we left because we didn’t have enough fun.

We started playing AION since the release. This time I assumed taking role as a Templar. I really started my interest in pvp there, had tones of fun with Abyss pvp. But, unfortunately for us, the game was too gridy. The pve part of the game at release wasn’t good and we fed up of the grindy style of the game.

We returned WoW in Cataclysm release and again I assumed tank role as a Death Knight. We joined a modest Spanish guild and we were able to finish the first raid of the expansion. We keep it up longer than when we joined in Wrath of the Linch King but still was something missing in the game.

In the meantime I tried some free to play MMOs like Dragon’s Nest, Lord of the Rings and Dungeons and Dragons… but nothing important to mention.

ADDED: Until the release of TERA I have been playing League of Legends for a year in a hardmode way. I had a premade of friends and I spent time training and improving comunication skills with them. This was my first purely pvp stage in which I learned how to organize a group and go together to achieve a goal. LoL it's not a MMO but I think it has similar features such as act as a team in pvp; how, when and why focus on someone; protect your allies and give them support...

Now, in TERA, I assumed a heal role cause wanted some action.Maybe I’m not the one with better pvp skills, since my MMO career it’s more pve, but I really want to improve. We come from a guild that didn’t gave us the opportunity to practice as a team and I started playing TERA assuming that was a pvp game… So that guild wasn’t our place. . Also now I have more time than before since I finished my studies and I want to become a lil more hardcore!

About my communication skills in English… I started studying English in a academy since I was 10 and I kept it up until I was 18. I even got First Certificate. I left my English studies because I started studying at University and needed more free time. I don’t think my English is bad (mostly the written one) but I need to improve my spoken English since I haven’t practiced it since I left the English academy. Just need some time to get used to it again.

And finally and most important.... Why I want to become a xen member? Because I admire you. Never seen a guild on Essenia server (even in all MMOs I played before) so well organized, well communicated, skilled… I really like your style! In a few days I learned a lot from you and I want to learn a lot more and become better. Maybe I don’t have the skills yet but I have the courage. Let me show you, you won’t be disappointed!
