Sanctum Beta: Tower Defense Meets FPS

I’m a tower defense addict. There, I said it. There is something pleasant about a well executed monster-slaying tower strategy. Welcome a new challenger to draining hours of my life away: Sanctum, combining a First-Person Shooter twist to the genre. Created by Coffee Stain Studios on the powerful UDK, get ready to gleefully feed your TD addiction. Your mission: combat modern-looking beasties to prevent capture of your core lest they dance in top hats (no really, they dance in top hats).

The full game hits the digital shelves on April 15th, but if you’re an IGN Prime member you can play sooner with our exclusive Beta. That being said, the beta is incredibly polished. Be sure to run through the tutorial first. It’s quick, painless and gives you details you’re going to need to fight your first swarm. It was also surprisingly a challenge, I only got to wave 10 on my first normal game. I’m sure you guys will do much better then that, I’m embarrassed even admitting it. Can you top my first play through score?

TD is an indie genre, I agree with KnowYourFoe... I'm not paying for a TD game.
