I want to buy a laptop...

    I want to buy a laptop...
    ... and I'm clueless.
    The only things that I do know:
    - I don't want to spend more than $1500
    - I want a medium-sized screen and nothing too bulky
    - I'll mainly be using it to occasionally access my work desktop while on the road or when working from home, to search the web, upload some pictures, and maybe watch a DVD here and there
    I have looked last week and some one suggest me this HP laptop,but i am not sure, i just want to kind of be pointed in the right direction before I aimlessly choose and buy something that I shouldn't.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    any gaming on it?

    Got an asus at work for 799 15.6 led i7 6 gb ram and nvidia 425 graphics :)

    Get the NP8130 model with these options:

    i7-2630QM Processor
    IC Diamond Thermal Compound
    DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz
    SATA Hybrid Hard Drive with 4GB SSD
    Ultimate-N 6300





    That HP you listed isnt that great for gaming. THe graphics card isnt amazing and the HDD is slow.

    Erock, whats the HDD speed on yours and the screen resolution?

    some small games, and i don't them very often

    i heard asus laptop is not bad, i wii check it out
