    Hey guys,

Coming back from the dead and finally in my new home I'll be back to serious gaming

I have my trusty qnix atm but I think I'd like to move towards a 4k monitor or maybe the ultra wide Beast ?

There are a lot on the market atm with huge price range from 400 to 1600 cad.

I don't know what to pick. I'll mostly game and do shit like Excel for work (it would replace two monitors).

Ideally gsync would be good unless AMD offers to do awesome stuff next year then freesync.

    Right now I use a 980 TI.

    Thanks !

    This one is pretty awesome:

I love my 40" 4K VA panel monitor.

If you cant fit a 40", then Id go with something like these:

Just be aware that a 980Ti wont drive 4K resolution well. Minimum is pretty much a GTX 1080 if you want to even hope to push 60 frames per second in most newer games. Even my Titan XP struggles to hit 60 sometimes and it is about 40% faster than a 1080. Next gen GPUs I am sure the 1180 or whatever will push 4k just fine.

Yeah it's mostly for the next gen card.

    Are those overclockable too ?

Nope. Displays stopped being "Overclockable" a long time ago. Now days manufacturers know users want more Hz so if the scaler is capable of higher refresh it is sold as a higher refresh display right off the bat.

My roommate has that M340CLZ, it is an extremely nice display. Bee aware it is 1440p though, not 4k. Still, it looks really nice and the 100Hz is nice and smooth too. If you do go with that, you may want to move to AMD because of the freesync. It still looks nice without freeesync on, and can be driven pretty well overall from a 980Ti, but it would look even better with an AMD graphics card and freesync turned on.

Well it's a beautiful screen but it arrived broken... I've got an inch of dead pixels and a fractured screen....

Amazon is shipping a new one. I'll review once i have a fully working one.

Dang that sucks :( Did it look like carrier mishandling?
