Everquest Extended f2p

Discussion in 'Upcoming Game Chatter' started by Blasphemy, Aug 20, 2010.

  1. Sup guys, looked around for a thread on this and didn't see one. SOE has just started a beta phase of their f2p service for eq2. It's an ongoing beta, so no character wipe. The server isn't a pvp server unfortunately, but they do have battlegrounds to get a fix.

Here's the link to the launcher. It DL's while you play.

If anyone decides to play, hit me up. I'm a Freep (Evil side)wizard named Stoneynugz. Just playing something until FFXIV comes out. :D

Im on it im a Iksar Zerker named Slares

  3. wow..looking at the payment plans..there is a level above the 14.90 a month plan..200 a year.

find it hard to believe..14.90 a month..does not get you full acess

Ill play the free plan..time waster days when im bored

  4. Too bad we can't make Assassin's in the f2p version. lol

I found that odd too. You would think they would increment the pricing up to 14.90, not past it.

Anyone that is bored and hasn't tried eq2 before, check it. It is a really good game.

Meh might as well wait and play LOTRO on Sept. 10th. At least they are not trying to actively rip people off.

  7. If it was a pvp server, I would have already transferred my Assassin. haha. Swashies are still OP'd I think, so that may be a viable option.

was gonna try it, but Shadowknight isnt one of the 8 offered for free :(

  10. The classes are all pretty fun in their own way, but yeah, the 8 classes is limiting.
