A couple of scams to watch out for...

I have been alerted today about a couple of scams that people may want to watch out for.

1. This one may only be in my area, but I'm not sure. If you get a call that says that a family member has been injured, just hang up. It will tell you to call another number that will leak your personal information and be a royal pain in the ass.

2. Do not open an email that says something like "Brown has sent you a hallmark card" or something along those lines. Its a trojan IIRC.

I also heard of one from a guy named mercsan asking to send him money for a charity which he claims he will deliver right down the street from where he lives.

 

Shit... I might have fallen for that. :/

Hey guys yes I am still around but I was home alone the other day and some guy knocked on my door and it was a magazine sales person. I had heard this was a scam but the guy was very well persistant. He scared me with the way he started talking when I said no and he looked in my house and was like o are you home alone and i said " no my boyfriend is in the shower" and i slammed the door. It was scary but I almost called the police maybe I should have hmmmmm Damn i am stupid. So ladies beware of answering the door to strangers.
