Anyone here uses usenet and can recommend good site/software for it?

  2. I havent used Usenet before, but I hear from others that which host you go with greatly affects what content is available. I am hearing that most are pretty bad now days with a LOT of password protected files (with no PW given).
I am assuming you want to share perfectly legal and legitimate files with friends right? Because talking about piracy on the forums is prohibited.

  3. assuming you want to share totally legal files,

I use newshosting, for sharing pictures of my dog. Very reliable and lots of dog pictures. The i use SABNZBD to download the dog pictures, and NZBS to find the dog pictures...

newshosting is a very good price to gig ratio, aka 15/mo for unlimited dog pictures. find me in TS sometime doxy

I use usenet and on my MacBook Air I have Unison to download the NZBs, but on my Windows PC I have SABnzbd. I use to use NZBmatrix.com for an index site, but it closed down the other day because of the pressure it was having put on it. I have astraweb for my server as well I forgot to include, which I pay $10 monthly for 20 connections and unlimited, but i believe it is now $15 for newer people.
