I got a beta invite! just checked my email last night and it was in my inbox. I got to play the game for about half an hour so far, it seems alot like Torchlight to me so far. Try not to make your game a "Public" game because random people will join your game and skip all the npc conversations to get to the fighting for loot.
I got in tonight and have been playing for a bit. The thing is, I don't recall any sort of "key" that can be handed/passed around. The D3 download link was auto-magically available on my bnet account panel.
If you're in the beta and having framerate issues or CTD when a certain unnamed skill is cast. Turn off Vsync. Yes the solution really is that stupidly simple.
