Since a week i have weird lagg in online games. I can see everything move. I can type in chats. Hear all sounds but i cant move. So i freeze but for the rest everything works. Or everything freezes except chats or sounds. I have it in league of legens and in world of warcraft. Only games i play online at the moment. I can't figure out what it is. Resetitng modem doesn't work. Can't find it on google either. Can anyone help me ? It happends sometimes after 2 hours. Sometimes after 20 minits. So its all random. How do you connect to the Internet? Type in Internet explorer 192.168.100.1 and list what your upstream and downstream levels are, also if it shows snr and ber list that to. It sounds like a provider issue.
Sounds like your ISP put some badly implemented deep packet inspection tech on their lines. Rogers in Canada is known to bugger up their DPI pretty bad fairly often.
I live in the netherlands and i never had any problems before. But a while after i got my new computer it started. Now everything disconnects also sometimes. If i dont have the spikes everything works perfect. I have a 40Mbit / 4Mbit line and i get up to 4.9MB per sec. So the line itself is perfect. So it should either be my ISP or some default in windows 7 I ressetted everything. Updated my lan drivers but i cant find the problem.
Best to work by processed of elimination then In no particular order. 1. Same modem and router as before? if not try changing them back 2. If you still have your old comp or can borrow another one try hooking that up using the same wire. Also try switching out the actual wires. 3. If you have a spare network card try it in your new comp see to see if it's what ever Ethernet connection your using. 4. As much as it's sometimes like bashing your head in a wall call your ISP and ask them if they have made any changes lately and to run a diagnostic on their lines and if a router on their end got changed or damage you may be getting routed around a damaged line. They really do have quite a few tools available to them to find out if it's a damage line or something fairly quickly it's just a matter of whether or not your ISP bothered to train them to use those tools.
