EA: Consoles dont have servers, why would PC? Those silly PC people think they need more choice. Bah!
This game has dedicated servers for PC . Don't know where you guys heard otherwise. Open beta starts at 1pm est today until the 12th. 20v20 hoth, 8v8 and a co-op map. I'll be streaming it later on our team page
Does it have a server browser where you can filter for different maps or server types or player counts and select which server you want to play in? If it doesn't having the game run on dedicated servers is pointless since you cant very easily look at which server you want to go to.
Let me clarify. It will have dedicated servers ie its not peer to peer but no server browser. Skill based match-making. Been playing the beta and not impressed. Eye candy is there but the gameplay doesn't impress me. Not a lot of weapons , balance needs work. Its battlefront so its a more casual fps.

Seems like it would be fun in short burst but nothing to get too serious about. I am so tired of Hoth in Star Wars games at this point that I don't think I can give it an honest opinion unless I try out other maps. I had more fun in this beta on the infantry only map which is not what I'm looking for in this game I want to fly fighters and ride walkers and shit.
Without any of the matchmaking, initial cost, obvious DLC costs, EA bullshit, the game is easily the on top of my worst pay to play fps I've ever played. I just doesn't feel fun. The only thing it had going for it was star wars. If it were anything other than that it would be dead in the water.

So far, the beta is meh, few weapons, gameplay soso, feels almost like a mmofps in terms of gameplay, which is bad for a FPS. Pretty Subpar compared to BF4 and BC2. We'll see with the final result.
So I bought it (as something other then buggy cheaty ass H1Z1 for a break from other games) anybody going to try playing release tonight?
It was ok. I all ready got a refund though full game wasn't any better then the beta. It really just feels like a $30-$40 game not $80
Not sure how many of you ended up buying it but its fun with a couple friends on release. Beta was really stripped down, but even so a few of the modes are kind of fluff. It is fun destroying people with heros or in a imperial walker but its not a game to worry about your K
