Jailbreaking my I-Phone

  1. So, since it was passed that end users are allowed to legally Jailbreak our phones now without reprisal I was curious if anyone has had experience doing it?

I am currently using a Iphone 3G v3.1.3 and I would love to be able to use the data plan in my hotel as right now it really really stinks.

I've looked on Youtube and found a metric ton of videos on how to do it, but I have no idea what software to trust, what sites to trust, etc...

Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

  2. Dont think jailbreaking for 3.1.3 and OS4 is available. Most people are still using 3.1.2 that have jailbroken IPhones. You can try this site tho.

  3. 3.1.3 worked on my 3g

and today they released for 4

    go for it!!!

  4. Blackrain I'm assuming? I haven't upgraded to IOS4 as I've heard nothing but bad things about it on the 3G.

Do you use miwi for tethering?

    use Spirit
    http://spiritjb.com/
just one click total time less that 1 min without doing anything ( similar to blackrain).

But before that backup your iphoen to ITunes everything you have.

  7. Yea I used spirit to jb and mywi to tether a very simple process.

  8. now you just need Cydia, Installous, and Winterboard. You can get both Installous and Winterboard from Cydia.

  9. Needed cydia to get mywi so I'm set. Sadly though my ping still stinks.
