Bungie deceived me with Halo 2 and completely lost me with Halo 3.
    Pass.

  3. Read the books. Its probably better, cheaper and you won't be disappointed.

I did read Halo: The fall of Reach and Halo : The Flood back before playing Halo 2.

  5. Never owned a Halo game.
Might buy Reach cause all my friends are going to and since
I haven't really played the other ones except at their houses
I don't really have much to be disappointed about.

  6. I enjoyed the video at least.

  7. haha funny vid, my friend is going to get it. We will play it here and there and that be that.

I honestly have liked all of the halo games a lot, I just hate brutes. I think they made a mistake focusing on brutes rather than elites on the story mode, they were just a pain in the ass. Multiplayer is fun though, especially swat

Awesome video :p I may play the reach beta but it probably won't be on the 3rd.

  10. I'll be playing Reach. I'm pretty psyched about it. I have yet to be disappointed with one of the halo games (minus halo 2's short and abrupt ending with the campaign, though multiplayer was fantastic). I even played Halo Wars and played that for months. I loved ODST, but the lack of matchmaking for multiplayer made it annoying.

Simply put, Reach looks like it'll be fantastic... they put in an entirely new engine so that it could support massive battles for campaign (as in like 300 spartans vs 300 elites and stuff like that).

    and awesome vid lol

  11. Adds me on XBL, I'll more than likely be playing the beta.

Not sure how the beta works but I'll try to get in. Didn't buy OSDT but if I can rent it and get I'll do it.

I bought it ODST and I thought the CD key you needed was the card that came with the game saying
so I kept that after I beat the game and turned it back in because I was bored of it but then I heard that you need the actual CD because you can only play it off the halo3 ODST disk and not the original halo3 disk.

Oh and btw if your going to be playing halo reach when it comes out add me on xbl! My xbl tag is in my signature. Also Lost Planet 2 when it comes out too I'll be playing.

  14. I enjoyed all the previous Halo games (1,2,3), and this one looks better than the rest. Multiplayer looks like a LOT of fun... too bad I'll miss out due to being banned from XBL. I've grown too weary of console games to get another xbox.

@Vhex: Yeah, the Halo 3 beta was like that too with Crackdown. There's no code, you just need the disc to play it, and it's a timed release thing.

    So, peoples thoughts?

Only played it for a couple of hours (busy with exams). I'm bloody loving it! The mutliplayer is awesome and I love the new weapons. The classes are ace and the game doesnt feel as 'chunky' as Halo 3.

  16. Played it over the weekend and it was fairly good. The classes separate the multiplayer experience from any other Halo, imo. The BR is gone, which blows. My favourite class was Gaurd. I had so many killing sprees with that, just because no one could kill me. Jetpacks are overrated.

Agreed, Armor Lock adds an interesting dimension to small skirmishes, you have to time it and figure out if there just bluffing when they go to lock up

Armor locking and throwing grenades and the ground when it's over is a great way to get tons of kills from people that you would normaly been killed by.

  19. Gaurd or Guard? ;]

I haven't played beta, a friend was offering me a fresh copy of ODST for $30, was too high - he got the new 360 elite that came with Forza 3 and ODST and he already had it.

Anywho, I've never been a big Halo fan - but I'll probably play Reach.

But i've found its very easy to kill someone who is armor locking. Just time it right and throw a few 'nades under them
