Death Knell For HDD?

    Cost is going to be bonkers high for that mang, lol.
     
  3. SSDs dont have to be so expensive. I am not exactly sure why they are, with so many companies making them you would think competition would drive prices lower as it did with RAM. The current good SSDs on the market,lets say a 256GB size, can easily sell for $100 less and they would still make a profit.

    Has there been any word on how soon HDD prices will drop back to normal?

    6-12 months Seagate keeps "insisting" that they never will drop back to what they where before.
     
  6. Western Digital says it will shortly resume full HDD production. Id estimate a good 4 months before prices go back down to reasonable though
