Hi guys, since I'm spending about 8 to 12 hours a day on the road now during this launch as you can imagine I'm getting quite tired of listening to the same things over and over. So, I would like to start getting into audio books as a means to keep my mind occupied while I'm traveling. So if anyone has any suggestions as to any specific books or authors they'd recommend please feel free to share. Audible has almost 80k books to download now so even if you're not sure if it's available on audio it probably is. I'm pretty much open to all genres with the exception of biographies and politics (unless it's a conspiracy theory book). Any podcasts you guys enjoy would be good too. It would be unimaginable if you have not read the Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card, but if you haven't, I'd suggest getting the audio books. Once you read Ender's shadow/Ender's game (a parallel novel) the series splits into two paths. The Ender's Shadow series which consists of four novels and another on the way and sequels creating the Ender Saga which consists of five novels. So if you have the time thats 11 books in one of the greatest science fiction universes ever created. It's genre is Science Fiction, but the entire series is filled with great political, philisophical, and religious unertones.
I swear by the "BS Report" which is a sports related podcast hosted by Bill Simmons. Hilarious especially if you get alot of the 80's references that he uses.

I just finished Cold War on Friday, so I'll be starting it tomorrow! Edit: Wow the first book is 11 hours this will keep me busy for a while!
Wow, is all I can say, just wow. That was an amazing story. The voice acting was superb, it was funny after my drive home this past week I sat on my couch and listened for another two hours, until I forced myself to stop so I'd have something for the way back. Can't wait to get started on Shadow! Thanks again, it is an incredible story!
It's pretty interesting, I was listening to Orson's comments at the end and found it funny when he said since his background is that of a playwright, all his books are best when read aloud. I just got Shadow so I'm hoping it's just as good!
Speaker for the Dead is now in the bag. I enjoyed it, but in comparison to Ender's Game, there just wasn't enough umph behind it. It was a good story but it moved along at a somewhat predictable pace.
