Would anyone be interested in an ARK Survival server? You only need to select the option that best fits.
I'm good with either one. Though it might be a pain to get a server started since there's a literal fuckton of servers up right now (like 4000+) and most of them sit empty all day.
Official servers are always filled at night (for NA anyway) plus you can't play NA and EU on official as it zone locks you from what I can tell. Private servers are not as many either as most are locked/pw protected. Few are actually "open". I am all for either myself, but it would be nice to play with fellow guild mates once again.
Gameplay rundown! You start naked, find rocks, make rock stuff. Chop trees make wood stuff, find berrys, eat to live. Wait til you get a pot, make narcotics. Tame dinosaurs, you can tame any type you want, you can only get saddles at certain levels you can make. Fight over resources, such as, Metal, oil, and so on. Raid peoples bases take everything, tame more dinosaurs. Be bad ass, hit level 60... then I dont know from there we are only level 55. DT
How the hell are you running this on medium with a 670? I have 2x 780s and can't even run it on low unless I turn down the resolution scale. :/
If you want to maintain the structure of the game in its entirety, my personal suggestion would be to join an already existing server and here are my reasons: If you make a XoO server- Pros: Yay, play with all the people we know and some others potentially Cons: Someone will place rules such as No PKing, no destroying peoples bases, etc. Which is what the point of ARK is. Play on other server- Pros: Yay, I get to play with friends and others. Yay we're PKing these guys and taking their stuff because they didn't prep for this. Cons: The XoO zerg will play into affect. Anybody in XoO that wants to play with other members and not in the XoO Tribe will be frowned upon causing tension. Moral of this is that if you play ARK, you must play separate and make teams etc, or else you're just playing minecraft basically.
Looks interesting, finally something to play while I wait for Star Citizen to stop teasing. I get tired of just the tip, I just want to go balls deep......
I've been playing on the Foe server trying to grief but they are very set up. Probably have a solid 15 people... so I'm up for anything
Either we have a server that we run(so we dont have to worry about admins spawning in shit and taming whatever the fuck they want) and hope people join. Or we join another server and try to catch up.
you can transfer your character to different servers by visiting an obelisk and downloading your character. Then login to a new server and create a new character select upload. You can do this in single player and cheat your way to 60 with admin commands then swap as well, but I doubt that is intended.
You can turn off character transfers as a server settings. If there's a way around that, idk. But admins have A LOT of power in this game. Its pretty crazy. God mode, flying, teleporting, taming, literally the ability to delete the terrain and make people fall through the world and more.
