Are you using the existing Xen of Onslaught guild (it still exists) or is this a new one?
Regarding this: The GM version has a game master more or less to drive the story, adjudicate when players do weird things not explicitly covered...
I'm still fairly active but haven't repped XoO in a long time since things dried up around here. I don't know whether the expansion will change...

There are marked differences but they're usually for the better. Tabletop game is designed to be played there.
