What do you mean free to download in September ? From what I heard it's free to download next week. I will be playing this as well. If you need a second man to help you out with things Spectre just let me know. We do need to up our numbers in all genres so why not start with FPSes.

AA3 is open beta now on Fileplanet.. I'm D/Ling it now.. I wasn't a huge fan of the first just hoping my comp can run this.

The third edition of military simulation game, now rebuilt upon the next-generation Unreal Engine 3 system for unprecedented realism. In America's Army, players can explore and dominate challenges ranging from basic training to Special Forces Assessment and Selection to Special Forces Qualification Course. Join various elite Army units and see the power of Army teamwork, values and technology. Gameplay highlights include authentic weapons and technologies, realistic training and exciting gameplay missions. AA3 provides players new insights into the Army and Soldiering while making the game easier to play, easier to install and easier to download.

In America's Army 3, players will have persistent characters that they customize by embarking on career paths in which they advance by completing specialized training and accomplishing missions. The evolution of the player's career follows the same progression as it would in the Army. Initially, the core of the gameplay focuses on an Infantry Soldier (11B). Players can select from a variety of roles that the 11B performs such as Rifleman, Automatic Rifleman, Designated Marksman and Grenadier.Players who complete advanced individual training modules can take on new MOS roles that will affect gameplay. For example, by completing medic training players will be able to treat minor and major injuries in single player training missions and render advanced medical aid in multiplayer missions.

ESRB Rating: T for Blood, Violence
    Genre: First-Person Shooter
    Exclusively on PC

Open beta well I will be downloading it tonight.

  7. If you can get over the lag during combat that occurs on most servers, and the occasional completely random glitches, this game kicks ass. It's better than the first in my opinion.

Well hopefully, they will resolve those issues. Seems like they need to fix the servers. Glitches and be repaired too. I'm stoked because I loved the first one so if this one is better I'm game.

  9. Yea, new feature which I love is when your running you have the option of diving to the ground or sliding to a knee and its feels intense if your in a firefight diving behind cover.

Yea game is pretty glitchy and very laggy. Was on a server with 36 ping guy was right in front of me and was even down the barrel of the gun and still missed him some how..

Another thing I dislike but guess adds sort of realism is the whole you got to do the tests to get the different guns and weapons.. disliked that in the first one.. I just want to kill people not train.. If I wanted to train I'll play a MMORPG.

Hehe, the tutorial is painfully long. I figured you'd be able to skip it? Sucks if you can't.

blah for some reason I just keep getting the invalidcode message from Fileplanet so guess I'll have to wait for release.

I had that problem too. Make sure you type your email address exactly the way you have it for your fileplanet account. I was getting the error typing

naijshua@yahoo.com but when I typed Naijshua@yahoo.com it worked.
Also type the beta code by hand and it will eventually work.

I've always like the training. Once you get by it you don't need to worry about it again. Yes they are long but entertaining.

Your definition of entertaining is vastly different from mine, lol. I practically fell asleep through it. Just a bunch of adrenaline junkies yelling at you in between mouse clicks. (Although I do find R. Lee Ermey quite entertaining for some reason, anyone else is just bleh)

And you do have to worry about it again... When the game is released heheh. :p

  18. still the beta?.Im just waiting for full version.

  19. What does this game offer over COD4? Is there any reason I should download it if I already play COD? Keep in mind I don't care about single player campaigns.

  20. It has no single player campaign. It's a combat sim. It is much slower paced, and for good reason. The main perk is that is free.
