This is why Canadians think Americans are stupid.

  1. well, i guess i could have put quotes around mine... cause i did take that line from fauxnewsnetwork.com. and doubt anyone would claim that anyone else is reporting news from the right-wing, though i would agree that MSNBC has several shows from far left, though i don't watch them either. i typically go with cnn at work and bbc from home as the channel isn't available at work, and if i want someone to give minimal news and maximum commentary, i'll take the Daily Show over Fox or MSNBC... at least they don't have the pretense of not making up things to support their views.

  2. No reason to get childish. You asked... not really representing Canada well. We could assume that all Canadians are pompous asses that don't take criticism well over the internet while claiming it doesn't matter.

  3. yeah, i find that posting something like "it would be clear that Canadians are on average more informed or intelligent" but then claiming you aren't doing so publicly kind of contradicts your own assertion.

i believe this topic provides strong evidence that the small minority of any country gets pinned as the majority simply by being louder and more stupid than the rest...

  4. I'm assuming that Terror Nova is just trolling.

    My evidence:

The above statement gives the impression that he is just saying shit to get people to respond to how shitty it is.

    Then there is this gem.

What does that even mean? Let's break these sentences down.
    1. Reading the other posts shows that Canadians are smarter, or "better."
    2. You don't do smarter or "better" publicly, so that you don't come off as idiots.

From how Terror Nova's post reads, Canadians act stupidly or "worser" ("worser" being the opposite of "better") in public so that no one thinks they are stupid or "worser". Maybe that's why Terror Nova's posts are so disorganized and poorly worded; so we don't get the idea that he's illiterate.

  5. Now thats gangsa

  6. it seemed like it came from more of a desire to show superiority by demeaning others' actions of showing superiority... but the poor wording did little to hide the hypocrisy of the posts, but w/e. trolls will be trolls

  7. I forgot to mention how the blatant hypocrisy betrays his trolling

This needed to be locked back on page 3 when I called for it.

Don't be girly men and lock the thread.

  10. Several people asking for the thread to be locked...and yet no one has reported the thread yet. LOL

You have a problem with a post/thread, use the report post function.

Yes, Commie has been in here reading the thread, but unless you care enough to report it he gets to assume you're not really that bothered by it. ;)

  11. Shoji is entirely right. If it insults you, use the report button. The Xenate has better things to do than read 9 page threads to see what someone may be able to find offensive. Its not a difficult concept. If you report something, they WILL check it out.

  12. In the meantime I'm going to continue to make fun of Brown until he reports me for being a culturally insensitive American. :D

I'm enjoying this read though, very insightful and interesting.

  14. Phh just because we argue doesn't mean we don't love eachother! If no one ever said anything because they were afraid it would offend anyone life would be boring!....and without war probably. But then I also wouldn't find anyone who has the same mindset. Since I'm stuck in bumfuck oklahoma I argue with you guys.

It's a battle of wits! Don't fall behind Canada! or keep quiet and prove you are the smarter ones. I think that was terrors case.

  15. Thread closed... makes me sad but I haven't been following it and there seems to be a few complaints about negativity and such.
