if we weren't murdering each other for thousands of years we would have over populated the world and ran out of food... which would have led to people murdering each other anyway.

Speaking of overpopulation, we should start farming our fellow man ala the Matrix to deal with this energy crisis.
The poor and prison inmates. That would take care of the prison overpopulation as well. Who else is with me on this? TBH, I'm surprised China hasn't already done this!
I bet we could figure out a way to pay inmates/poor to generate electricity for us. They get some cash and we don't have to burn coal.

in china or something didnt they used to have their family pay for their food that they eat and if they dont then they dont get to eat? and as far as farming poor and inmates for power, farm inmates then have the less fortunate work in the factories!

S'not fair to use poor people. Especially since a lot of them can't help it. I vote we use assholes. Not your everyday asshole like you and me but the folks who take asshole to a whole new lvl. Like rich people and of course convicts but only the really baddies like murderers and rapists n stuff.
Problem is, any method you think of will either: 1 - Require them to be skilled workers. In which case, people will avoid it by pretending not to have those skills. Or 2 - Takes energy input from human labour. Meaning you have to get that energy into them in the first place, which will lose you energy. Thus she most efficient solution I can think of is to burn the bodies, use that to heat a working fluid, and use that fluid to spin a turbine.
we already have to feed and shelter them, put them in giant hamster wheels. no additional energy in cost and it lets them work out some of their aggression.
We did used to do that, I think that it's a good idea if we put exercise machines that generate power in their cells, hook a meter to it and they can slowly work of their sentence that way. I'm pretty sure forcing it is against some of the human rights we have set up.
