after messing around with that banner and the bg I made for the forums, I found it interesting so I applied it to a webpage...if we ever get one again... a login pannel to the left with an ad container to bring in some extra cash or you can use a rotating banner thing to where it can show the latest news or something. center is obviously for news and the left is for the navigation. Still need to add a donation box area. resized for upload.
perhaps something like this would be better. Got the rotation idea from here... http://www.animecrave.com/ scroll down and scroll over the 1-4. decided to add the ad banner in a less obtrusive spot and add a donation button. We will also need an area for our divisions so I split the left nav. added in some minor detail so you can see what's going on and added a rotation box (although jeb hates them - pure html ones can be done though) because they are fregin cool. again, size reduced to 75% of original.
Do the login boxes have to have backgrounds to them? Or would that be given a monocolor background with further coding anyway?
I just came upon this and switched to the kyoji theme last night and must say it makes the entire web page experience much nicer. I found the default skin lacking compared to what I remember before I left. Nice job on the skin Kyoji!!
thanks, once jeb comes back from his work and he is able to finish uploading it should be complete as not all pieces of the layout have been properly finished since the style changed when my layout was in development. Just need to make a few small chages so the "x" boxes dont show onthe main page. Other than that and perhaps one little feature I am content with the layout. Of course the banner changed as well. Then perhaps they will allow me to finish my work on the website I started so long ago...although it fell through the cracks with the whole virus/hack whatever it was problem. I have a new one now...and I like it too =) Matches the forums.
worked up some better icons for the front...much more clear I think. these are self-explanatory I think. this will replace the litlte crappy folder icon where it has the forum breakdown. i.e. Xen of Onslaught Forums > Public Forums > Public General Chat (Public) Color Choice well...lets just say I have a list for jeb to work on when he gets back. =P Although it shouldn't take too long, if it were me it would take no more than 20 minutes to make the list of changes I have in the TF section (you probably can't see that section). after that if I get a greenlight that we want an actual website I can use the kickass template one I have been working on, as shown above.
