If you could have any gaming keyboard, which would it be?

Assume for the sake of this discussion, price is not an issue.

What is the absolute best, most insanely sick gaming keyboard on the market? And why ?

  2. Obviously the only answer is the Optimus Maximus keyboard, if price is no issue.
I think when you look at how much it would cost to get yourself one of them then price will suddenly be an issue :p

Im a huge fan of 10-keyless mechanical keyboards for gaming. specifically mx browns

    this one specifically:
    http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index....v2-88-key-iso-custom-mechanical-keyboard.html

    mx browns
    0.2mm oring
    maybe russian lettering
custom color setup of some sort
and i love the shape of that enter key

Now, you were asking for some sort of gaming keyboard, this isnt exactly what most people think of when they consider a "gaming" keyboard.

For me...honestly...any full sized keyboard with Cherry MX Blues. I have an old model Razer Blackwidow keyboard that I love. DAS and Ducky also make really good keyboards. Just gotta have me Blues.

    Hey Rumor,

I'm sure you read the same thing I read before I bought it, but one of my favorite features is one of the lighting features.. Say you have a skill with a 5 second cooldown.. you can set that skill to say the '1' button.. And the light on that button will be green, but once you press it.. it will be yellow for 5 seconds until the CD is up and then go back to green. SO basically you can set your keyboard to be your Cooldown notification. hah

    I love that.

Damn, a 2000$ keyboard is, damn.

Don't think it's the best for gaming either, response time must be massiv'

Kudos for the orion spark, i need one someday (even if i use a G13 for gaming anyway)

  13. Could always look at the Tesoro Colada. It is a mechanical keyboard made of aluminum instead of plastic. But then it also depends on if you like brown switches for gaming.

I still use my busted ass G11 lose cord and everything they can pry it from my cold dead hands.

Optimus Maximus is a beauty and if price wasn't a question I so wouldn't mind a keyboard that I can play anime and games on at the same time.
Past that I was really looking at the ASUS StriX Tactic Pro, ended up not getting it due to price compared to my budget as I found a refurbed Logitech G710+ and am happy with it. (I am a bit bias to brown switches as that is my proffered switch.)

Before jumping in to the mechanical keyboard market I would pursue testing the switches out, make sure you get one you can stand for a good amount of time. After that it is looking for a keyboard that fits your bill.

PS: I would avoid Razor products, as much as Kaith are not bad switches, they do not get the quality control that Cherry MX does and thus are cheaper and you are paying Cherry prices on the keyboard.

  16. I have a K70 RGB ... cherry reds ... pretty solid and I have different profiles for each game ... I enjoy it cant complain

  17. What ever happened with that Corsair RGB fiasco Erock? I stopped paying attention to it but users were going to sue Corsair over false advertising because the keyboard lists as RGB and 16.7 million colors, but only had something like 1,000 colors select able. Personally I didnt care, that is a ton of color options, but everyone was all pissy about needing their 16.7 million options.

  18. you know I have 0 clue about that ... shit looks dope to me ... I am just upset they are not letting users modify the software as much

Cant go wrong with this one :D

  20. Tesoro just told me earlier today they plan to make a "Spectrum" version of their Colada keyboard in Q3 of this year. That is the keyboard I am going to get. It features full RGB lightlight and has many effects it can do, more than other keyboards with RGB. Such as lighting up specific keys based on context. For instance, if you play an MMO and you have a skill combo that uses keys 1, 4, 9, and u then you could make the 1 key yellow, and when you press it the light goes out and the 4 key lights up yellow, and so on so that your skill combo buttons light up in the right order with a certain color so you know what combo they are for. They keyboard is also made of aluminum, not plastic, and will come with Black, red, brown, and blue mechanical switches so you can get your preference.

Razer does not use the regular Kaith switches, but instead has their own custom designed versions from Kaith that are produced to different specifications. I wouldnt judge a Razer product switch with the rest of them.
