just got this up and running today

    144hz asus 24" monitors

gonna do some testing next couple of days ( and also maybe within a week or 2 debezl them)

    any thoughts :)

  2. Sebastian Vettel is awesome.

Oh you probably meant about the monitors huh?

  3. hahahahahaha this guy ... and yes Seb is legit

i got the colors the same across now also :p but now i must go babysit

  4. Are the border between screens off putting? I always thought about doing the idea but decided against it since it is supported only by a few games.

  5. well if you do this in portrait the res is a 16:10 which is supported by every game ... if you run landscape that is when you get FOV and fisheye effect

so far I have not noticed the bezels as much as I had thought ... Within a week or 2 or maybe never I am thinking of debezling these screens

but this is 3/4 a 4k resolution and my god do games look AMAZING

ballin. I want to pick up 2 more xl2420t monitors to do the same thing. I prefer that orientation than 3x landscape. Is it all running off of the one 670?

  7. No Erock is just too lazy to update his sig and say he has an AMD 290(x?) or two? I think he has two.

  8. I am on 1 currently ... adding the 2nd soon as it comes in stock at work!!!

I currently can not decide if I want to debezel or not ... I am not found of loosing the vesa mount aspect but I would LOVE to see how the smaller bezel looks

AHHHH my next day off is sunday so

  9. Nice setup man!

I would like to do this for Star Citizen, but only if the game is really good, and I would set mine up horizontally so I can see out the sides of my ship.

I've got a 5760x1080 and I'm gonna get a GTX 780 to go with my other one.

  13. Does having such a wide setup and not much vertical resolution look ok in games?

  14. i have run a set up like that ... it only works well in games that support that FOV ... aka Sim games ( racing flight etc ) everything else looks like garbo with the fisheye

Yep. I rarely run it because of that. SOE claims that they will support it (soonTM). It looks really good in burnout paradise. Especially in the crash cam, you see bits of stuff flying all over. My other problem is that nVidia surround essentially makes all 3 screens into 1 virtual screen, so I lose my two side toolbars and pages are stretched across all 3 screen instead of sitting on the middle one. Most FPS games just stretch the screen because having a wider FOV is somehow cheating.

That setup is awesome Erock !! The wallpaper too is perfect for it !! Nice nice nice, 5 thumbs up :D

Hmmm u're making me think then... U got 2x 290 to run on these, right ? If not, the FPS would probably be limited.

Here is your next challenge :

  17. I hate you Haibane. Now I am forced to make that my new goal too. Which means I also need a new desk to fit that, and another GPU to get decent frames. So much money...

hey Erock, how is your mounting done? Without the bezel on can the original stand still mount into the back area?

  18. Planetside 2 now supports proper FOV for multiple monitors, according to today's patch notes. Haven't tried it myself.

  19. yeah i saw that 5xP but my god I would need 3x 290's and a MUCH bigger room :) its bad enough I have my 4th monitor on the left of me on top of my case so i can use it during gaming.

As for the mounting I have used double sided 3m tape on the back of monitor to the stand as you loose the mount from no bezel and it rests on the base of the stand to have stress off the tape ... that ausi guy in video has had it for months like that so should be A OK ... i highly recommend this to ANYONE
