There is something odd about our tags that I noticed about them. When I got mine I slapped it on my keychain like I did with my marine corps dog tag but over the last month that it has been on my keychain I have dropped my keys numerous times, rolled them around on my desk allot, you know the normal abuse that a set of keys go through... anyways, when they first came in the parts of the tag's that are shiny nickel, that shiny nickel part has flaked off and underneath it, it is still nickel but not shiny nickel like it was brand new. It's like a darker nickel that in my opinion makes the tags look better than the shiny shit that was on there when it was new. If you like the shiny parts "really shiny and all new" I would recommend putting some kind of Lacquer or finish on it to keep it from getting damaged. After about a week mine looked kind of cruddy because the shiny stuff had fallen off in allot of places but not all places so I just took a bore brush (used for cleaning the bore of a rifle) and rubbed all the shiny shit off. Looks more like an actual dog tag in my opinion that way.

I tried that today and the postman said the envelopes were too fat - cannot be more than 1/4inch thick and they were a tad over that - so he had to charge me the same as before.
