If anyone interested, can do somewhat of a review on it when it gets here.
    2560x1440 @ 650$ pricetag.

EW DELL! Says me when I have two dell monitors...

  5. I've only owned Dell and I've never had issues and they have been great.

  6. If you are waiting for a high end card, why not go with a triple monitor setup for gaming instead of the singular high resolution.

Because he can go 3 high resolution monitors

I don't really like x3 monitor setups. Those big fat bazel lines ruin it for me.
I will however switch to x3 setup, once monitors reach that 1mm bazel =]

  9. I have a Dell Ultrasharp U2711. It's amazing. I'm assuming that your monitor will only be more amazing since it's LED.

IF the quality is any thing like my u2312hm's, the monitor should be amazing.

Also, for that price, i could have gotten enough u2312hm's for 5way eyefinity

    ?

I adore Dell monitors. In my primary office at work, I have two 3007's. At home I have the girlfriend running an sp2309w, I run two 3011's at home now, and my satellite work office has two 2711's, and my studio rig was just switched to two 2713's. I have excellent experience with a bunch of other ultrasharp models in between that I have seen come and go. I still have a 2405 that won't die. Just wont die. Its got a little more red over time (just ever so slighty) but I'll be damned if that monitor isnt less than 8 years old... Its seen several moves including cross country moves, I've used it in a mobile rackmount system for live recordings, its gamed its whole life.. Dell won a seriously loyal customer with that monitor. built like a tank and looks gorgeous. That same can be said for all the other in my collection except for the special purpose 2309. Its a little more flimsy, but man is it sharp looking.

Dell is a pos company. I stand by that. I hate their CS so much. They're full of shit and waste my time at EVERY attempt for RMAs, etc. The only good thing they make are the monitors. Even then there are a lot of monitors that compare either way *shrug* The only reason I got two dells is because one was on sale and the other I got for free.

Whoa slow your roll there, bro. No need for that. Dell may very well be a "POS company" in your experience, but they make damn good monitors, as you said. I've often heard of how bad they are, but I dont see it. had excellent experience with customer service. But I work directly through a regional sales rep that basically handles everything for me. Work smarter, not harder. Ground floor cs reps are always going to be a challenge. Get someone who incentivized by your next purchase and you generally get the results you want. I have found that to be true with most companies I deal with.

Not only do they make excellent monitors, but if you get the right ones, they make excellent laptops for business use. Their discounts are fantastic. That being said, my last three laptop purchase have been one dell and two lenovos. I think I will stay with lenovo for a while. I'm having a good experience there, too.

I'll beat you at it blindfolded. Good job being a dick. And to think I haven't met a single one in Xen yet. Pests are everywhere, I guess.

  17. Alright people calm down. I really hate having to delete posts and/or lock threads.

I like Lenovo laptops too, but it sucks that you cant upgrade them at all. At least the ones I have owned. Strange because the laptops give easy access to the CPU, RAM, HDD, and wifi. Yet I tried upgrading the wifi to a good performing card and the laptop wont boot, and support says they wont give me an unlocked bios to allow my use of the better wifi card. Also refused to boot when I tried to upgrade it to 16GB of RAM.

Really? There are a lot of dicks in Xen.
Seriously, its back to being a total sausage fest. We need some more women around.

Did anyone else hear that Dell is going back to a private company? I think that is good news because I always thought Dell was a great company when it first started out. Since it went public I have had nothing but problems with their computer systems. The only thing I have liked from them in the past years has been the monitors.

Got my monitor finally, but im abit disappointed.
It has backlight bleeding in lower left corner. Its not major, but enough to see it during dark game or movies scenes.
Im thinking of returning it, but really sure. How much backlight bleed is acceptable?

  20. Pic maybe? I'm not sure. Either I never notice it or have never had that problem.
