EN MASSE Entertainment announces TERA: NA goes F2P Feb

Its nothing like AION........... I enjoy it and its combat system, The PvP is something that will harder to master if you never get use to the combat style PvE pretty fun and basic, the Quest are kinda meh and boring but plenty to do.

TERA is has Open world PvP and BG thats 10v10 5v5 ( I think) and 3v3. They are adding a faction system that I think will be similar to Cabals but will be there new sieging system also.

If own a NA tera copy your account is active till Jan 16th they havnt added the new things yet that will come during the switch to F2P but you can see how the game is and if you have a copy of TERA and add the game code your F2P account will be a Founder account and you get some nice perks

 

Also if you submit a Ticket and have or can get 2k gold you can buy 30days of game time

 

Eve Online. Probably because nobody is even trying to make an MMO to draw away Eve players.

EvE Online is unique enough that it has fleshed out its own niche in the market that isn't going to be disrupted for awhile. And WoW is the current king of MMO for a number of reason, and is one of the few MMO that actually does timely progression of content to justify a sub fee. As for people who are looking at Tera, I would wait until they fulfill the promises they are making. The game is empty and lackluster at the end, and the developing company has been very slow with its promises of updates.

That isn't even speaking of the terrible handling of the game by the NA/EU publishes who are both extremely lackluster.

Better off waiting for Archage.

 

Well EvE also has where you can buy in game time with in game money

Sorry but I dont agree on any of your opinion over how EME been running TERA and alot of players will say the same, now EU is another story.

 

I knew this was coming since beta last year... I came in my pants when I read the article about it today. I'll get founder status since I played the beta, even tho I got a refund on the game. So I pretty much get founder status for free...

 

Ya EME was pretty cool in doing this..... Also its a smart move that they are doing with Founders basically telling people to hurry and buy a copy of TERA to get everything before F2P if not then enjoy buying slots lol

Glad they are going this route, NcSoft should of given something like a Founder account. Yes TERA is not 100% truly free if you really think about since with the free account and elite you still have to buy more slots for characters

 

Wait, people who were in the beta gets Founder automatically?

 

Yes if you pre ordered the game, I played the beta and got a refund on the game before launch... Still have the account and will get founder status! :bashful:

Anyway, if you have an account they gave 8 days free starting today, playing on that free account right now!

P.S. Are we going to try and resurrect the NA Tera division?

 

only with enough support...... Im currently on the PvP thats live now, some people might wanna start on the new server that will open up for new players, buts I really dont wanna restart over lol

-Large scale PvP events
-10/20 People raids
-10man -Fortress of the Wizard-

....I might even play if that is true. Going to see if I can find a box kicking around somewhere since it is the same price as digital.

 

Does anybody have any experience playing on NA servers from Europe?

 

i could tell you how the exp on NA server would be, but i'm getting an error.

- Unable to connect to Login System
- Error code: 8001:0001

 

There a fix to it on the forums, Also EME is releasing a new launcher to and if you are getting a manifest error they have a stickie up with some fixes and info over it. There hosting company having some issues so thats the reason for that but the login error not sure

 

why would it be a lie? its currently on BHS test servers and also EME has said NA TERA will be getting either a month after F2P or 2 months it should be live

 

Never believe content promises until they are delivered.

 

I remember reading that you need an Americas Region IP to play on the NA servers... I could be wrong or it could have changed.

 

I just had to wait a little..
I got in and the lagg aint that bad..for now XD sometimes it laggs, but it's ok in my opinion to play the Tera NA server if you live in EU.
I play on the PVP server ofc plus with some lvl 20-60 pk's near lumber ..but that the PVP server for ya ^^
