Anyone heard anything about this? Apparently a playable version is out on the 15th, first I've heard of it. Looks like it could be interesting, possibly just like the Arma mod?

Looks like a better version of DayZ. Though I feel sorry for the DayZ development team, who just had their one really successful idea ripped off.

Not at the current stage. Maybe at Beta stage.

 

I am playing it, buggy atm, frequent crashes but besides that I am currently enjoying it in its limited state. If you guys grab it let me know!

 

Yes miir its worth getting right now before oct 20 due to the fact your saving about 20 bucks on release price. I dont think people are looking at that aspect.

 

warZ was in development before Dayz, weirdly enough. I believe they did adapt their model to more of an open world thing, however- this does kinda seem like a ripoff

I've pre-ordered my copy of War Z, since it does seem like a great alternative to Day Z. Now just to wait until the 31st to play. :\

I bought the Survivor level for $24.99, and game access doesn't start until October 31st. I have my key and everything, but my account apparently doesn't get flagged until the 31st. Oh well, it's only a couple days away, I can wait.

So does the survivor package go back up to 30 bucks on the 31st? I gotta buy it today if it does. But I do want to go through the 2 days of quest time to check it out before committing.

 

Damn just played some beta, not impressed at all. Very boring, and buggy as well. Zombies kill you through walls, and if you don't have a gun and get seen by a zombie good chance you are going to die. So far I'm glad I didn't buy this.
