It's up on Steam as well, enjoy.

  6. Q for anyone who downloaded it via Steam: were you prompted to log in with your EA account when you launched the game?

I liked it. There were a few glitches but the overall experience was good... until it crashed. ::x:

  7. With a promo code this game is only $48 on Newegg for XBox, PS3, or PC. In case any of you care to pre-order it

....... bc its Origin its was EA uses for there login servers..... ToR uses Origins so it would be the same login stuff kinda like with NcSoft games where your master account info can be used to log into all your games unless you changed the info

Looks great so far, can't beat a "planescape torment" beginning. ;) Will definitely get it, hopefully it's between 25 and 40 hours and will be my 2012 surprise of the year.

So many sequels these days, I can only encourage new franchise to succeed. :)

Not what I was expecting and they are not supporting modding either I may wait for it to go to $20.

Not every game on the market allows modding..... also modding doesnt mean a better game.

Not sure what you needs to be modded really and why its that important for you to mod in a game if its already great from the start. So your going to hold off for a game bc it doesnt allow modding is kinda dumb but thats your choice.

Also what where you excepting, bc what I have read and watch was the same exception when I played the demo

Modding is why I play pc games if I didn't want to mod I would just play console games and save myself $1000 every few years. Generally if a single-player PC game doesn't allow modding it gets regulated to buy on markdown for me. I don't even buy FPS for the most part now because they all want to force DLC map packs down everybody's throat rather then allow community made maps.

As for what I was expecting I was thinking more along the lines of Elderscrolls or something this just kinda feels like a glorified MMO or something and mostly felt like it wanted me to be using a controller not a keyboard/mouse.

  19. The game is fun, which is why I plan on buying it, but there are certainly areas where it could be improved.

Actually the game might've felt better to play on PC if it were designed more like an MMO. The reason it feels like it was designed for play with a controller is because it was designed for such.

After having played this demo I'm really curious as to how development on 38 Studios' MMO is progressing.

38 Studios is brand spanking new so what we have is a fast win in some departments rather than a decade-refined stroke of genius. If I were to guess, all the similarities that seem to connect inadvertently with other products will be reworked if ever there comes a sequel rolling around. What I mean in specific is the aiming mechanics, being able to jump, or dive, etc., are all simplified for console gaming but also don't necessarily pass for the the Halo franchise quality of free movement either.

And, because Curt Schilling wants an enterprise and has invested in 38 Studios to occupy him for the rest of his working life, which has thus far been very prolific, seeing a new series flesh out it's own unique factors a bit more wouldn't be unthinkable.
