  2. The biggest influence on this game's development, of course, being the original Deus Ex, LOL.

I'm having fun with Human Revolution. Lots of lil' surprises...

The FPS portion could've been "tighter" but this isn't really an FPS, it just borrows elements of one for the combat system, so I'm fine with it as it is.

That does look cool and love the violence!

  4. I had lots of fun with it. A worthy sequel (or, prequel) to the original game IMO. I thought the 4chan guy was funny. His "name" is Anonymous and he wears a #chan hat. lol.

Not to mention the takedowns are just brutally fantastic.

My favorite bladed takedown is picking up one guy, throwing him at the second, and jumping on the dogpile armblades first :p

  6. Yes. This game is good.

  7. I beated it on Saturday :X

It is very fun. I killed almost everything. I started a new game to try and get "The Foxiest of the Hounds."

  11. This and all the post it notes with meme faces had my friend and I cracking up today.

  12. Hard achievement to get. You NEED the cloak to get past one or two parts in the game. I am currently doing this along with the thing to not set off a single alarm in the whole game, while playing on the hardest difficulty :)

  13. Guys should I be trying to kill/incapacitate all enemys on any given "mission" for xp? or are there greater bonues for not killing and sneaking through with minimal casualties ?

  14. you can still kill without setting off an alarm if you do it right. So sneak when you have to, kill when you can. knocking out gets you by easier than killing. Killing takedowns make more noise. You still get the ghost bonus even if enemies are alarmed (in yellow)

  15. I dunno I suck then, I was just shooting up the place but dang, it gets hard frontal assault style, but I hate sneaking around, but still, i'm enjoying it.

  16. Take downs give the most XP, if you can take down all of the enemies on the level that will give the most XP. Also hacking computers, letting the turrets and robots kill the enemies for you, will still give you "Ghost."

  17. I am having a hard time figuring out which Augs to purchase first with my praxis kits ....

Seems like hacking is one of the first ones to do ?

I did the hacking ones first, theres also an upgrade that tells you the % chance that you will get caught by hacking certain nodes and doing the "fortify" feature which comes in really handy when you start hacking level 3-5 computers later on. The energy cell upgrades and inventory space upgrades are also really useful because you will need inventory space for extra weapons, typhoon ammo, energy bars, and weapons ammo. Every skill uses energy cells and the game only recharges 1 of them so its not worth it to spend extra points on energy recharge rate, only capacity.

If your going for the Foxiest of the hounds award you will need to level up stealth, inventory space, and have a couple of energy cells for stealth mode. You will need the inventory space for stun guns which wont alarm other guards when you take out one of their buddies (apart from your regular guns). It really depends on your playing style I guess.

  19. My first play through I didnt use Typhoon, cloak, see through walls, or land from high places. I just maxed out hacking, damage protection, inventory space, accuracy while moving, recoil, and energy regen. I hacked just about everything and tended to be more of a run and gun type. The first couple missions I was all about stealth, but then I realised I was reloading too many times when I had to kill someone and said screw it Im just going to kill everybody. And it was a lot more fun.

I used a silenced pistol for the first half of the game. Then ammo for it started to become very scarce so I switched off and on between a silenced combat rifle and sub machine gun. The sub machine gun seemed to have the most ammo around halfway point. All the while stockpiling ammo for the heavy machine gun and upgrades on it. The end of the game and bosses I used pretty much only the heavy machine gun and combat rifle. With my heavy gun maxed out in upgrades. It was pretty beastly.

A worthy successor to the original Deus Ex. Bosses might suck, but it's still a fantastic game.
