Wouldn't curving armor so drastically to fit a persons build reduce the overall strength, making it easier to penetrate and/or break?
erm really not true but thats what does it for you, As I said before back then not everyone culture wore full plated body armor
depends how the metal is made and frm what. Anywho there some armor that is real and ppl use to use WAY back in the swords and arrows days that didnt cover much since they where the ppl that moved around alot and needs very light armor to be fast and agile HELL iv even seen some crap that it looks more like you get frm a sex shop then to be armor
actually I dont mind females in armor..my fiance wears destructible armor in second life. It is a metalic french maid outfit that falls apart as it takes damage.
the whole 'people need light armour too' excuse is crok. i challenge you to find a single picture of a museum piece, historical reference, or well, anything about any suit or style of armour that covered the torso... but left the bust open. you wont find any. why? because its stupid. you might as well not wear armour if theres going to be a massive hole in it, over one of the body's most vulnerable points to a sword-stab. Real light armour was usually mail, leather, silk, or hides, depending on the specific culture in question. It was light because it was made of light materials, not because it left holes for people to stab in the middle of the chest, or anywhere else.
pff, you people seem to have forgotten that sex sells! keeping in mind that games are marketed towards men, it's not surprising to see MMOs made with this in mind, not to mention it's funny to watch character's bust size get larger over time, whether it be a popular manga or the Soul Calibur series. as for immersion, I think most people prefer to escape reality to a magical land with cleavage as far as the eye can see (up to a certain age/maturity level maybe)
