Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising for $3?

  1. On Steam right now. Can't go wrong with that... anyone else get it?

    LOL@ some random comment:

"i played this game and i did not see a dragon worst game ever."

  2. I asked a friend who bought it a long time ago and he said it wasn't worth it. But for 3 bucks can you go wrong?

  3. Nope. I already stated that in my first post.

  4. True I was just agreeing.

  5. Cool. I knew, but just felt like pointing it out :D

  6. i bought it when it was half price..I play it more than any other fps game..

I dont have the new cod

  7. Just played co-op with a friend and then some multiplayer. Hella worth it if you ask me. It's kinda like ArmA, except I can tell who's on my team.

Gonna try 3-player co-op when another friend joins us. The artillery strikes in this game will BLOW YOUR MIND!!

    I don't think it's half bad personally.

  9. Multiplayer matches are the worst thing ever due to constant bugs and host lag. Game is a POS in multiplayer. Coop is ok.

  10. Well if you ever played ArmA in all its bug-infested glory, then OFP looks a lot more appealing.

In ArmA 2, I couldn't play for more than 2 minutes without encountering a bug of some sort. It was nearly unplayable. So far I have yet to see a bug in OFP (not doubting their existence).

For $3, I don't mind the lack of dedicated servers. Game isn't twitch-based so it's not as big a deal as it could be.

    still available?

    Guess I missed it.

Also, ARMA 2 has supposedly went through a lot of changes since we first checked it out.

  12. I think it's 33% off now, which makes it $14. The $3 thing was for a day only.

I was also thinking of re-installing ArmA 2 sometime and seeing the changes.

I think ARMA II is a better game overall, but it has a higher learning curve. Hard to get the right feel for everything. OFP2 is more of a mixture between BF and ARMA II, OFP 2 is easier to get into. ARMA II is harder to get into, But sticking with it probably has the most longevity and immersion. It rolled out with a kick-ass editor which has already added to a stronger community than OFP 2.

  14. Steam had a LOT of great games on sale, I didn't get the chance to really look through their library of sales unfortunately.

pfft definetly worth it for 3$... Story mode is a great play through... but thats it.

    Great mechanics just poor implementation.

(I pre-purchased from my undying love of Project Reality... in hopes of a next-gen version but nope)
