No. SoE is going broke because they are a POS company. So they pull out the old school game that they know a bunch of retarded fan bois(no offense but you will) will buy because its PS and everyone wants a new one. Glory days for video games are close to an end. Everyone is being bought out by the big money bs companies which push unfinished projects out then will fire half the dev team so they can't release patches at a steady pace and the game loses all interest as another POS game released by a money hungry company. SoE was just the first one in the long chain.
Oh Em Gee! I don't know what's cooler, PS2 or an appearance by Ukitsu! At first I was skeptical, because only last year did we hear anything about a PS2, and we were told development had not started. But after thinking about it, a PS2 could easily be done in a year. If they just take the same game, upgrade the graphics, add a few new features, then BAM! You have a game that most fans would be happy to call Planetside 2. @S o k a r: Personally, I'd rather play this than the plethora of crap-tastic Planetside wannabes out there. *cough* GA *cough* Primarily, because this would be an actual MMO and not a lobby-based basket of frozen tuna.
Probably true. Sadly, the case of taking the same game and updating it probably won't happen. They'll end up dumbing it down like the CoD franchise did. Tossing in a bunch of bullshit to keep the retards happy while completely removing the entire concept of the original game. I know I'll be checking it out but will be a very tough buy.
