  3. Ya Ive been using groove shark most of the time. Which do you think is better?

  4. Ive not tried grooveshark....this works for me...no problems

  5. grooveshark is dif...there you upload songs

audiogalaxy only lets you stream music from YOUR pc..to another location...be it a PC or phone ..etc
the files are kept on your PC...you download an app that creates a songlist online

here is a review that help might clarify

    wow, audiogalaxy is still around?

  7. more like reborn as a totally new service

  8. cant you use your iphone with itunes anyways?

  9. I dont know..will itunes stream the music on your pc to another location? be cool if it does.

  10. well i know itunes has the ability to see other itunes lists on the same network, also allows you to copy files. i only use itunes so i dont see the need to use this site myself. I'm sure its good if you use other media players though.

  11. I suppose this is more handy for someone who travels far and wide...the service can make a playlist up to 250,000 songs...no need to chose what songs to transfer to your lappy or blackberry..or yuk..an ipod.

you dont have to compress your files..:)..I keep mine at least 198..most are 328..past cd quality

  12. If I had a phone that had internet like that, I would use that. Finding something that can hold 20gb of music can be expensive when your on a really tight budget.

  13. Um, CD quality is not as low as 198kbps. CD quality is an LPCM file (a .wav file usually, Apple likes to use AIFF file types) that is 16-bit depth, 44.1kHz sample rate, and about 1400kbps. When you rip to a computer I think it does a straight 1500kbps but I could be wrong. Either way though, CD quality is far above a 320 MP3 file.

EDIT: I just looked it up cause I was curious what the actual bitrate is and came across this:
    2 channels x 44,100 samples per second per channel × 16 bits per sample = 1,411,200 bit/s = 1,411.2 kbit/s.

That means that each channel of CD quality audio is 705.6kbps

And back to this topic at hand, I just saw this and read about it. Sounds pretty cool. While I was reading I was thinking "oh that kinda cool but Idont really have much use for it". Then I got to the end where it says "and its free" and I was like, "Oh thats cool I definitely could use this"
