Anyone in the beta for this or want to get into it? Im going to have a code or two when i pre-order the game me and my roommate play this daily.

For those of you who dont know what this is, it is DoTA a complete conversion from the warcraft 3 game type. It has a few new heroes and a few new items but other than that its all the same. It has the original map along with a couple others for smaller games. It keeps a record of how many times youve disconnected mid game and tracks k:d ratio and gives you a rating based on wins/losses.

  2. So it's not even a spinoff it's just a port of DotA?

I thought it was a dota esque game, that really stinks.

If you like DotA, this game is epic. Seriously though, this game is worth trying even if you don't like DotA.
Yes it is based of DotA, but you feel like you are playing a completely different game.
It's free to play with a beta key.
My roommate and I play this all of the time.
If anyone need's beta keys, we got about 12 or so.
Just send me a PM with your email.
It would be cool to start a XoO clan for HoN also, if anyone who plays HoN is interested, send me a PM as well.

I just played a couple of games of LoL and found the game to be completely lack luster compared to HoN. Everything about the game seemed slower and more jumbled than HoN.

I will continue to try out LoL for a few more games, but so far, nothing about it seems more appealing than HoN.

EDIT: Played a few more games of LoL and it definitely is more beginner friendly than HoN. The tutorial is pretty well put together, and the way they automate games is really nice. Everyone I played with was fairly new to the game, and I assume everyone gets better as I get better.

My name in both games is Albanee, since some ninja stole Albane.

The game is a spin-off. They have similar heroes, but not identical. Most heroes have been reworked and rebalanced, as have the items. While there are a lot of similarities, the game is different enough to make it more entertaining to me than DoTA was.

EDIT: I probably have a couple of beta keys to hand out, if anyone is truely interested.
